The Altar

The altar is situated at the east end of the church at the top of the chancel.  The front of the altar has been adapted from fifteenth century traceried panelling and the altar rails that enclose the altar area are extremely fine carved seventeenth century wood.  A second altar can be seen in the memorial chapel in the south transcept.
