The outside of the church is equally impressive.

On entering the church grounds, you pass through the Lych gate, which greets vistors to Holy Trinity.

The gate was built during the time of Revd. Newham and is dedicated to the memory of Mr Crossley, the father of Mrs Stuart Thompson.

The churchyard itself contains many interesting graves, each with their own story, we present a selection of headstones and memorials with short snippets of history. You can search through a complete list of all the headstones and memorials in the churchyard in the churchyard search.
